The ASUS UX501 is a 15.6-inch sleek powerhouse that has an aluminium unibody to go along with a thin build. It has a satisfying keyboard but its trackpad lacks practicality. Overall it has some flaws here and there, so you might want to know more before making the move to purchase it.

Which leads pretty well into this part of the review. The battery life on the UX501 for just browsing, typing, and listening to music is quite okay. For me, it lasts for about 5 hours before starting to bug me to charge it. Seems pretty okay, considering the charging time is about 2 hours to reach 100%.

One major flaw I think the UX501 has is the power brick. Look at this size.

It could be trimmed IMO. Just make it a little denser, I don’t really mind. This power brick isn’t heavy at all, but it’s just humongous. If it is to be a little more square-shaped by having a wider but shorter body, it would be acceptable. Just not this huge rectangle.

And hey, it’s a 120W laptop too. Quite powerful for that matter.
