You think the Galaxy Note9 or the OPPO Find X to be expensive? Then think again – the official prices for the iPhone XR, Xs and Xs Max have just been officially announced.
Actually, if you already bought from 11street’s pre-order deals last time, then you shouldn’t be worrying at all. The 11street pre-order’s price are actually very similar.
The iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max will be available starting from RM4,999 and RM 5,399 respectively.
The iPhone Xr on the other hand, will start from RM3,599. And this is where I start questioning Apple’s pricing strategy. The iPhone Xr is regarded as the “entry point to the iPhones” of this generation – but the price isn’t particularly friendly at all.
For RM3,599, you don’t even get a full HD screen and its resolution is just bad compared to any Android counterparts that costs 5 times less. Heck, the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1) is more than 5 times cheaper than the iPhone Xr and the specs (other than the chipset) are comparable.
Are you going to buy any of these new iPhones? Well, if you’re already an iPhone user or already decided to buy one, then there’s no point trying to explain why the iPhone isn’t worth buying anyway.
