Yesterday, we mentioned about the latest Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be supporting the RAW image output format when shooting photos within the Expert RAW app. Today, more information regarding the subject has been revealed by the brand. It’s regarding the photo editor integration with Expert RAW.
In short, Samsung has gotten into a partnership with Adobe where the latter’s Lightroom suite of functions and features will be integrated into the Expert RAW app to facilitate an experience identical to a DSLR-based workflow from taking the shot to editing photos.
While Adobe Lightroom already exists for smartphones, tablets, and PCs, the addition of this to the Galaxy S23 phones and Galaxy Book laptops makes everything native and can be launched and used out of the box. With all the powerful tools including image healing, lens correction, and detail enhancement, photographers can now work with more mobility and flexibility wherever they go.
The advantage of the RAW format is now feasible on mobile devices fully thanks to breakthroughs in optical sensor technology alongside all the digital imaging processes run by complex algorithms and powerful chips. As a result, any user can deliver high-resolution and uncompressed 16-bit RAW images with ease.
So, will we see professionals just take out their Galaxy S23, snap some photos, do an hour-long editing with Expert RAW, then submit their work in the future? That’s pretty dank.
