Fans of the VTuber scene may want to take a look at the rising star ambassador introduced by HyperX as the virtual streamer Himura Kuraudo, or Kura, set to show up starting this week.
Kura-chan will be taking over HyperX’s official Twitch channel every Wednesday at 11 AM PST and she will talk about and stream games in general while slotting in a couple of “Just Chatting” sessions to connect with fans more directly.
Her design and illustration are done by Rosuuri and have included a lot of elements borrowed from HyperX such as the main color accent of black, white, and red in addition to the “X” cross pattern on her top. Her naming also took inspiration from several other aspects such as Kuraudo directly referencing ‘Cloud’ – the brand’s most widely known headset, and Himura bringing in a bit of a scarlet village hint.
The rigging team is known as Iron Vertex, a freelance group that has provided Kura with several animations, movement details, and facial expressions for all sorts of fun and clippable moments.
Although the current plan is to stream once a week, I do hope that if the debut has caught enough attention to add more days into her schedule, I’d see the crowd would be happy as well.
