The MWC 2023 officially closed its curtain a couple of days ago with many brands entering the scene to showcase what’s new in the mobile world with OnePlus being one of them. Let us give you a run-through of what’s been revealed.

OnePlus MWC 2023 Recap: New Active Cryoflux cooling concept, external liquid cooler, TWS, and a new tablet 1

First up is the OnePlus 11 Concept which takes the standard 11 5G retail unit and fits it with a custom cooling mechanism called the Active Cryoflux by packing it with industrial-grade ceramic piezoelectric micropumps that connect to pipelines sandwiched between an upper and lower diaphragm.

As a result, the overall temperature can go down by up to 2.1℃ and frame rates about 3 to 4 FPS during gameplay which itself might not seem impressive but this is achieved without compromising the weight, form factor, user experience, and most importantly, no external peripherals needed.

The back of the device looks quite cool as well due to the glass unibody showcasing the movement of the mesmerizing liquid running around the system.

OnePlus 11 Concept and Buds Pro 2

The audio department sees the new Dynaudio co-created flagship Buds Pro 2 TWS sitting beside its smartphone companion. It touts to provide cinema-worthy sounds thanks to the MelodyBoost Dual Drivers pushing out high and low frequencies with its 11mm woofer and 6mm tweeter combo in addition to several software-based features and accessibility perks.

We do have a review of it coming soon so stay tuned for that!

OnePlus Pad

After making smartphones for a decade, OnePlus finally is going to step into the tablet market with the OnePlus Pad built with a special Star Orbit metal that shines an incredible colorway and ergonomic design.

Fitted with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and up to 12GB RAM, it can do some serious work or provide different kinds of entertainment with ease for long periods of time thanks to its large 9510mAh battery rated at about 12.4 hours of video-binging or 1-month standby time.

Despite the Active Cryoflux we mentioned just now can chill off the smartphone without the user doing anything, if the situation arises when it is just that hot, the prototype 45W liquid cooler should do the trick thanks to its semiconductor water-cooling architecture that nukes the temperature charts by up to 20°C, making sure thermal throttling doesn’t exist in its dictionary.
