Fast-charging technology has been a hot topic in recent years. The mobile market sees brands racing against each other to find out who’s capable of churning the most power into their devices within the shortest time. The latest achievement comes from Infinix where the magical numbers pin at 260W and 110W.
Branded under the “All-Round FastCharge” solution, the 260W All-Round FastCharge tech promises to juice up your device by 25% in just a minute and if you have 7 and a half minutes to spare, you’ll see the 100% displayed loud, and clear.
Defined by a special 4-Pump Intelligent Circuit Design, the amount of power and subsequently the required charge pump count can be allocated accurately to make sure everything is charged safely.
Durability testing shows that the Li-Ion 4400mAh battery maintains 90% of its energy even after 1,000 cycles therefore users can trust in the 260W process and get into action within minutes.
On the other hand, the charger utilizes a triple GaN material PFC + AHB circuit architecture to present itself as a small and compact power brick packed with intelligent and safe charging components.
For the wireless department, the brand new 100W Wireless All-Round FastCharge charger has a dual coil design for both vertical and horizontal orientation so that no matter what direction you’re placing your device on, it will be charged at the best efficiency. Speaking of the rate of charging, it can take the battery percentage to 100% in about 16 minutes.
Infinix also made sure that sufficient cooling is delivered during charging by implementing a fan at the base of the charging station together with optimized internal designs of the coils with lower resistance that further restricts the rise of the phone’s temperature.
Another piece of good news is that Infinix will not be hogging everything to themselves by making the tech proprietary because they confirmed that it works with multiple fast charging protocols including PD 3.0 in addition to some of the more quirky ones like delayed charging for nighttime and bypass charging during gaming.
As for when will it reach the hand of end users? Well, the answer is the next generation of NOTE series smartphones so it will not be long before everyone can get a taste of that flash action on steroids.
