Samsung Malaysia’s latest announcement is not for the greatest but is about the latest as the new budget A series device enters the market in the form of the Galaxy A14.
Although it is not 5G compatible due to the chipset it’s using, I guess at this price point you can’t complain much. But aside from that, what it offers serves that RM799 quite ok in my opinion as you get all the One UI perks and Samsung ecosystem and its software to make your life easier.
Contrary to other budget competitors, the A14 has a 1080p screen which I would take any day since 720p is just a bit blurry in 2023.
Anyway, here’s a quick spec sheet check.
- 6.6-inch IPS LCD Display
- 1080p Resolution
- Waterdrop Notch
- MediaTek Helio G80 Chipset
- 6GB RAM
- 128GB Storage (Expandable up to 1TB)
- Triple Back Cameras
- Main: 50MP f/1.8 with PDAF
- Ultra-Wide: 8MP f/2.2
- Macro: 2MP f/2.4
- 13MP Selfie Camera
- 5,000mAh Battery
- 15W Wired
- Silver, Black, Dark Red Colors
