SK hynix has introduced the brand new Beetle X31, a cutting-edge product designed for the consumer SSD market.
This portable SSD marks the brand’s first-ever entry in this category and combines the finest features of the Gold P31’s exceptional power efficiency and the Platinum P41’s raw performance.
Featuring a remarkable speed of up to 1050MB/s for reads and 1000MB/s for writes, the Beetle X31 utilizes a DRAM cache to maintain sustained speeds of over 900MB/s when transferring a single 500GB file.
This is made possible by its innovative design and the inclusion of an aluminum case, which contributes to effective heat dissipation. Additionally, the device is highly durable and can withstand accidental drops of up to 2 meters.
Compact in size, the Beetle X31 embodies the design philosophy of a beetle, a golden one I presume. It weighs a mere 53g and boasts dimensions of 74 x 46 x 14.8 mm. The device’s round edges offer an enhanced grip, and it is compatible with a wide range of modern devices, including PCs, Macs, smartphones, tablets, consoles, and more.
The Beetle X31 is available in capacities of 512GB and 1TB. Each unit comes with two USB cables, C-to-C and C-to-A, as well as a bumper case for added protection.
Availability
South Korea already has the SK hynix Beetle X31 in stock while the rest of the world is slowly getting shipments as time goes on.
