Sonos has revealed the latest entry to the Move family of portable speakers which is the Move 2.
The successor to the original Move carries significant upgrades in both hardware and software with the main highlight being the overhauled acoustic parts now containing dual tweeters for spacious stereo and crisp vocals that will make things like performance much more vibrant and “moving”.
The signature precision-tuned woofer will be in charge of the bass department for punchy dynamic outputs as usual.
In terms of wireless connection, it can take Bluetooth and WiFi signals to accept signals from all sorts of devices via the Sonos Line-In Adapter while power consumption puts it at about 24 hours per full charge with a USB-C cable.
It also has better efficiency through the reduction of idle state energy usage which complies with all the green computing standards.
By the way, it can tank a bit of “accident” tanks to its IP56 rating, making sure it can still operate to its fullest even after a bit of water splash or dust accumulation.
Being a smart speaker in 2023 means that it supports all sorts of streaming protocols like Apple AirPlay2, Amazon Alexa, and more.
