Finally – Xiaomi has released its first true smartwatch that uses Google’s WearOS 3. Introducing, the Xiaomi Watch2 Pro. It boasts a timeless watch design while looking very sleek and modern.
I believe what defines a smartwatch is the software. WearOS is currently the most agile software available for the Android space and I’m glad to see more competition in this space. WearOS 3 in particular, allows many more features for us to tinker around.
But of course, it is more than just a smartwatch for features and apps. It also has more than 150 different sports modes available to use – spanning from the usual running, swimming, cycling, to many more types.
The Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro also has the usual health tracking capabilities – like heartrate monitoring, SpO2, all of those. All of these hardware are powered by a 495mAh battery.
This watch also comes in two different flavors of straps – either leather or fluororubber straps.
The price of the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro is RM1,199, but we do not have the availability date as of now. I mean eager to try out this watch as I think we need more competition in the WearOS 3 space – and Xiaomi’s price is rather enticing.
In the mean time, check out our gaming test for the Xiaomi 13T Pro. The performance of the Dimensity 9200+ cihpset is really good – and I am impressed.
