Xiaomi Malaysia has officially announced the arrival of the brand new Redmi Note 13 series of smartphones with 4 different models for you to choose from.
The models in question are the Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Note 13 Pro 5G, Note 13 5G, and Note 13.
Let’s start with the Pro+ 5G and Pro 5G models as they share the superior 1.5K AMOLED panel for display plus a powerful 200MP main camera with OIS complemented by a standard set of 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro cameras.
The difference between the two comes from the SoC and fast charge speed so perhaps you’ll need to factor in whether if you need that extra speed of juicing up your phone.
Meanwhile, the Note 13 5G and Note 13 offer the standard “5G/4G” variant to accommodate the needs of different people. Thus, the chipset will be different too but from the looks of it, they don’t seem to matter much.
As for the camera, they are slightly downgraded compared to the Pro models but if it is good enough for you to save some buck, be my guest.
In terms of general design, all 4 models share the same looks though so one less aspect to factor in when choosing the most suitable variant.

For the occasion, Redmi also introduced the new Watch 4 rocking a 1.97-inch AMOLED display which is quite the big size. It is surrounded by an aluminum alloy middle frame and a stainless-steel OTS rotating crown for easy navigation.
The quick-release mechanism streamlines frequent strap swapping while the newly upgraded 4-channel PPG sensor provides even more accurate heart rate and SpO2 tracking.
With more than 150+ sports modes with 6 auto-recognized activities, one can easily keep up their physical training with ease while the new Bluetooth calling can catch calls easily through hand raising or tapping.
We also see the new Redmi Buds Pro 5 that supports LDAC codec and 52dB ANC with 3 modes of AI Adaptive and 3x Transparent levels.
There are also 5 different EQ profiles to match your taste or at least the music you’re listening and it supports up to 10 hours of listening time or 38 hours when counting the charging case.
Last but not least, the Redmi Buds 5 just downscales the Pro’s key points by a bit such as 46dB ANC, the absence of AI Adaptive ANC mode but maintains the 3x Transparent mode regardless. Battery capacity is more or less the same too.
Price and Availability
The sales of the Redmi Note 13 series in Malaysia will begin on January 20 while the new companion gadgets are available right now.
