The 11th edition of the Smart City Summit and Expo is set to commence next week in both Taipei and Kaohsiung.
With over 2,000 government officials and VIPs from more than 46 countries and regions in attendance, discussions at the event will center around key themes such as the ‘Net Zero City Leaders Summit’ and ‘City COP: Enhancing City Resilience through Digital Smart Solutions’, focusing on strategies for the development of smart and net-zero cities.
In addition to prominent organizations like ICLEI, CityNet, WeGO, and the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative, the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) will announce the results of the Smart 21 City list.
Under the overarching theme of “AI Everywhere”, the summit underscores the importance of integrating artificial intelligence across various sectors, including government bodies and institutes, to facilitate enhanced communication between residents and authorities. This encompasses gen-AI, edge-AI, and other technologies.
A dedicated section titled ‘Taiwan AI+ Cluster’ will showcase the contributions of various AI companies towards this objective.
