Samsung Malaysia has announced they are launching a “kid-friendly” product but it is kind of familiar so without further ado, let’s welcome the Galaxy Tab A9 Kids Edition tablet.
Since this specific model is identical to the standard Galaxy Tab A9 in terms of how it fundamentally functions, we’ll just skip over the generic stuff (which you can check over here) and focus on what’s special.
Starting with the contents, you’ll find the Kids Puffy Case and Crayon Stylus being the “special stuff” with the case is made to be extra durable for protecting the precious tablet while the stylus allows them to hold a “not so expensive” pen input device to go have fun and draw a bunch of stuff.
The package also includes the USB C-to-C cable plus the 15W adapter which is appreciated in 2024 alongside the SIM card ejector pin and some stickers for decoration.
Since this is a “for kids” product, Samsung went ahead and activated Samsung Kids by default for this particular SKU which contains the general Parental Control suite of screen time limits, app restrictions, online activity monitoring, and such.
The app also contains educational content and interactive stories to help children grow because they probably don’t like books in this day and age anyway.
Price and Availability
Want one? Then pick it up starting today at the price of RM799 which is a hundred bucks higher than the standard Tab A9 but I guess with all that extra stuff and hassle of setting up the appropriate software, I’d say better take this one and skip all that trouble.
