Garmin Malaysia has unveiled its new fēnix 8 Series high-end GPS smartwatches, which are available in an AMOLED display or a solar charging option.
For starters, the fēnix 8 Series AMOLED option comes in three sizes of 43mm, 47mm and 51mm, whereas the solar charging option is available in 47mm or 51mm. Both models boast leakproof metal buttons, a new sensor guard for added sensor protection, and premium materials such as an optional titanium bezel and scratch-resistant sapphire for enhanced durability.
Feature-wise, the smartwatches include hands-free calling, voice commands, an adjustable flashlight, and advanced 4-6 weeks workout plans tailored specially for all types of athletes including surfers, skiers, and so on.
Notably, the fēnix 8 sapphire models come preloaded with TopoActive maps for global multi-continent coverage. The Outdoor Maps+ subscription also offers premium features such as satellite imagery and enhanced topographic maps directly on the watch.
On the other hand, SatIQ and multi-band GPS deliver precise positioning in tough environments while efficiently managing battery usage.
Pricing and Availability
The new fēnix 8 Series is now available in Malaysia at a starting price of RM5,199 through Garmin e-store, Shopee, Lazada, AECO e-store, Garmin Brand Stores, and all authorized retailers.
