Apple just announced the new Apple Watch Series 10, which comes with a bigger display, thinner body, and more rounded corners. It’s generally with the same shape as before, but just enough to make it different compared to the Series 9.
There are a lot of details that Apple announced – so let’s speedrun through it.
The new Apple Watch Series 10 is now 9.7mm thin and has a bigger display – no idea what’s the dimension, but it does look a lot thinner than before as the bezels seem to have shrunk.
The corners are now more rounded and the display’s aspect ratio is also wider, so it is supposed to be easier to navigate or use the keyboard to reply a message.
The display is also protected by the Ion-X Glass and it extends to more parts of the watch.
Not only that, Apple also upgraded the screen of the Apple Watch to the wide-angle OLED display with up to 40% brighter display for better visibility, particularly outdoors.
As for charging time, it’s going to be even faster now as the coil for the wireless charger is now larger – resulting in 80% battery charge in just 30 minutes.
The Series 10 also has some special watchface – like Flux. It fills up the screen more and more with a different color as the second ticks by – and that’s actually quite neat.
Also, sleep apnea detection is also coming to the Series 10, Series 9, and the Ultra 2. That is a great feature to have as we really need to know our sleep health better.
The Series 10 is also available in a Grade 5 Titanium version which replaces the stainless steel version – alongside new straps that are also made out of titanium.
The price for the Series 10 starts at $399 and pre-order starts today.
Apple also updated the Watch Ultra 2 with a new Black Titanium that is made out of Grade 5 Titanium, paired with the new Titanium Milanese Loop with a buckle. The new sleep apnea detection is also going to be available on the Ultra 2, by the way.
