It’s a bit early for Xiaomi to release a new T-series device, but here it is – the latest Xiaomi 17T Pro! It continues the tradition of bringing great value to you, but supercharged with the latest and greatest hardware and software.
So, the new Xiaomi 17T Pro is equipped with:

It is also equipped with the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop cooling system to keep the temperatures low and cool. We have already seen how well it worked out on its predecessor, but the Xiaomi 17T Pro has an even more efficient chipset and an even larger cooling system.
With that said, the list of core specs already sounds impressive – but how does it actually hold up in real-world scenarios? Well, we did what we do best – we put the Xiaomi 17T Pro through our rigorous gaming test.
Performance
As usual for flagship chipsets, we’re going to test it with the highest graphical settings to see how the phone handles it. To my surprise, it managed to run Genshin Impact at around 50fps and above while only consuming around an average of 5W, no matter what we’re doing in the game. With such a low wattage also means that it’ll not heat up – and sure enough, the temperature is kept really low even after playing for nearly half an hour.
Zenless Zone Zero is a much more demanding game than Genshin Impact. It requires impeccable smoothness since it’s an action game, and every key input needs to be registered precisely. And yet, the Xiaomi 17T Pro managed to provide me one of the best experience I had on a smartphone while fighting the flower boss. It’s nearly 60fps throughout the entire fight – and I just had a supremely good time.
Of course, we also have Wuthering Waves – the most demanding game because of Unreal Engine and how unoptimized the new region is. Even during the most intensive nest fight, it managed to get around 30FPS, while other flagship smartphones only had about an average of 10FPS less.
Arknights Endfield had zero issues as the game is supremely well-optimized, and I also had a great time with that game on the Xiaomi 17T Pro.

I’m honestly just very surprised that Xiaomi opted for the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset so early in its lifespan, and this chipset already has so many optimizations and improvements. Xiaomi also did a good job tuning this chipset – making the Xiaomi 17T Pro one of the best smartphones for gaming available in the market today.
Battery life
Of course, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is also equipped with a massive 7,000mAh battery as well. It is actually very surprising to the point that using our standardized battery life test, it can last up to around 21 hours and 37 minutes.
It’s actually a double-layered improvement. First, we obviously have a larger battery here compared to its predecessor, and secondly – the Dimensity 9500 also drastically improved its efficiency.
Charging speed
Even though it comes with a larger battery, it can still charge completely in about an hour, thanks to the power of Xiaomi’s proprietary charging standards.
But I want to highlight another thing – Xiaomi’s recent improvements in supporting USB-PD PPS charging standard. You see, with the highest charging speed option turned on, the Xiaomi 17T Pro can take in 77W at most, and it only requires around an hour to charge from 15% to completion.
Up to the 80% mark, it’s basically charging just as fast as when we’re using Xiaomi’s proprietary charger and cable. Since Xiaomi is now supporting USB-PD PPS to such a good degree, we can basically bring one multi-port GaN charger from Anker or Ugreen or anyone – and it’ll fast-charge as well.
Great cameras
Just like before – the Xiaomi 17T Pro comes with triple cameras co-engineered with Leica, and it still retains that 5x periscope lens with telemacro capability. I honestly really like this camera a lot because we can take some funky macro shots like this.
Plus, we now have portrait modes ranging from 23mm, 28mm, 35mm, 46mm, 75mm, and also 115mm.
While I’m personally not someone who frames pics nicely before taking them – I still can get some pretty good results overall. Plus, I prefer the Leica Vivid color profile more than the Leica Authentic’s look. Paired with the Light Fusion 950 sensor, this phone can really take some good pictures.

Videography is also a big part of the Xiaomi 17T Pro as it can now shoot up to:
- 4K 120fps in standard video mode
- 4K 60fps in movie mode
- 4K 60fps in LOG mode
Price and deal
And of course – the most enticing part of the Xiaomi 17T series in general is the price.I mean, starting at only RM2,899, there’s no other smartphone out there in the market right now that is basically covering all aspects in a well-balanced manner, and still equipped with the latest flagship chipset.
