As the memory crisis deepens, the prices of every piece of gadget are ever-increasing as DRAM supply is still not satiated. Some analysts have said that it’ll not ease up until 2028 or 2030. Whichever year it may be, it’ll be at least another 1.5 years for us to suffer.
Many people set their eyes on Apple to see when – not if – they’ll increase prices of their products, and by how much. In a surprise announcement, Apple finally published the new prices.
Apple actually updates all country’s prices at once, so we already have the Malaysian pricing for all of new prices of these devices – and their starting prices are as below:

As of now, there is no change to the prices for the iPhone. So, if you’re looking to get an iPhone right now, then I think it’s a good time. I don’t think the upcoming iPhone 18 will have a rather substantial price hike.
It’s crazy to see that the M4 Pro Mac Mini that I’m using right now to publish this post actually has some degree of value appreciation because I have upgraded to 48GB of RAM. The MacBook Air 13 has also increased in price by quite a lot.
I personally wanted to jump into the iPhone world and own my first ever iPhone this year – but maybe I have to put that plan on hold for now. We’ll see how things go.
