Apple has brought a big update to the Creator Studio suite that buffs numerous aspects with new AI-powered capabilities, tighter cross-app integration, and workflow improvements across video editing, image creation, productivity, and music production.
The main highlight is the addition of Pixelmator Pro into various Apple apps, such as letting users send individual frames from Final Cut Pro directly into Pixelmator Pro for editing before placing them back into a project, making it easier to create thumbnails, promotional graphics, or refined visual assets without disrupting their workflow. The same functionality also extends to Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, where images embedded in documents can be opened, edited, and automatically updated using Pixelmator Pro.
Speaking of Final Cut Pro, it now has an AI-based Generate Captions feature that transcribes dialogue and places subtitles directly onto the timeline using on-device AI, while offering customization options for fonts, colors, animations, and positioning. Edit Detection can analyze rendered videos and reconstruct the original edit points, allowing creators to revisit previous cuts or quickly assemble highlight reels without manually identifying every transition.
Mac users can also experience new post-production tools such as Auto Mask that can reliably isolate subjects without manual tracking before applying color grading or effects, enhanced Match Colors for more natural color consistency across footage captured under different lighting conditions, and Advanced Trimming provides more precise control over incoming and outgoing edit points.
Supporting applications also receive meaningful upgrades. Motion now includes native vector graphic support to preserve image quality at any resolution alongside a new Distribute Layers tool for building complex animations faster. Compressor adds support for immersive media workflows, including Apple Vision Pro-compatible projected media profiles, stereoscopic preview improvements, and an Immersive Metadata Viewer. Final Cut Camera for iPhone and iPad also gains Clean HDMI output, expanded Apple ProRes recording options, and the ability to disable digital zoom to ensure full optical-resolution capture.
Pixelmator Pro also works in helping users generate customizable vector shapes for presentations, documents, and spreadsheets, with reusable assets saved into dedicated collections through prompts, as well as an expanded Content Hub featuring curated graphics, photos, illustrations, and design resources.
One can also find Keynotes now comes with new presentation transitions and animation builds, Pages on iPhone and iPad now supports Auto-Hyphenate and Show Invisibles for more precise document editing, while Numbers makes large spreadsheets easier to manage by allowing users to hide or color-code individual sheets. Looking ahead, Freeform in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 will introduce AI-generated shapes, Pixelmator Pro image editing integration, Dark Mode, folders for organizing boards, and Mac drawing support.
Meanwhile, Logic Pro had its Chord ID rebuilt to deliver more accurate harmonic analysis, including better recognition of extended chords and inversions across imperfect or distorted recordings, enabling Session Players to respond more naturally during music creation. Apple is also working with a new Producer Project that gives users access to the complete Logic Pro session behind “Shoulda Never,” produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Khris Riddick-Tynes, offering an in-depth look at a professional production workflow.
Additional music production tools include a new granular sync mode for the Alchemy synthesizer in Logic Pro and MainStage, accompanied by a dedicated Granular Alchemy Sound Pack containing loops and presets designed for the new synthesis engine. Beat Breaker has also been updated on both Mac and iPad with new filter modes, panning controls, and randomization features to help producers quickly experiment with rhythmic variations.
Pricing
Existing subscribers of the Creator Studio service will get this update for free, while new users can access the service for RM29.90 per month or RM299 annually, with a one-month free trial available. Customers purchasing a new Mac or eligible iPad can also receive three months of Apple Creator Studio at no additional cost, while education pricing lowers the subscription to RM9.90 per month or RM99 per year.
Standalone perpetual licenses for Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage are still available as it is.
