If low memory latency is the name of the game, BIWIN’s Black Opal DW100 DDR5 RGB is getting a little extra tuning under the hood, as the 48GB (24GB x2) DDR5-6000 CL28 kit has now been certified for AMD EXPO Technology with Ultra Low Latency (EXPO ULL), giving compatible AMD systems a more finely tuned memory profile without requiring users to manually adjust a long list of timings.
The new certified profile goes beyond the usual frequency and primary timing settings. BIWIN has fine-tuned additional memory sub-timings to further optimize latency while keeping the memory speed at DDR5-6000.
With a compatible AMD processor, motherboard, and supported BIOS version, users can enable the EXPO ULL profile directly through the BIOS. That means the additional tuning can be applied without having to manually work through individual memory timings.
The Black Opal DW100 utilizes selected Hynix ICs alongside an unlocked PMIC, providing the hardware foundation for higher-performance DDR5 operation and memory overclocking.
Cooling is handled by the DW100’s distinctive three-fin design, which increases the available surface area for heat dissipation. The memory modules also feature customizable RGB lighting with support for major motherboard lighting control software, so the kit can slot into a range of gaming and enthusiast PC builds without requiring a separate lighting ecosystem.
The combination of DDR5-6000 speed, CL28 primary latency, and the additional EXPO ULL sub-timing adjustments gives the DW100 a more tightly tuned configuration for compatible AMD platforms.
For users already running an AMD-based system with EXPO support, the certified profile also offers a simpler way to access those latency optimizations – enable the profile in BIOS and let the predefined settings handle the rest.
