The 6-year partnership between BIWIN and Acer is about to get longer, as a new multi-year official licensing agreement has been signed that allows BIWIN to continue designing, manufacturing, and distributing Acer- and Predator-branded personal storage, DRAM, and memory card products worldwide.
For Acer-branded products, the lineup is aimed at mainstream consumers, home offices, and general computing upgrades. That includes SATA SSDs such as the SA100 and RE100, alongside M.2 PCIe Gen3, Gen4, and Gen5 NVMe drives. At the higher end, the FA300 series can reach read speeds of up to 11,000 MB/s.
The memory lineup includes DDR4 and DDR5 SO-DIMM and UDIMM modules for laptops and desktops, with speeds reaching up to 7200 MT/s and capacities of up to 32GB per module.
Acer’s memory card range also covers a broad mix of formats, including microSD, SD, CompFlash, and CFexpress. The MSC300 microSD series, for example, offers transfer speeds of up to 170 MB/s alongside V30 and 4K video ratings, making it suitable for devices ranging from smartphones and handheld gaming systems to cameras, drones, and dash cams.
Meanwhile, Predator products include PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 M.2 NVMe SSDs such as the GM7 and GM9000 series, with flagship models offering read speeds above 14,000 MB/s. Depending on the model, thermal management comes in the form of custom heatsinks or graphene thermal pads to help keep temperatures under control during heavier workloads.
RAM-wise, there are the Pallas II, Vesta II, Hermes, and Hera, featuring hand-screened memory ICs, aluminum alloy heatsinks, and customizable RGB lighting. Support for Intel XMP and AMD EXPO is included for easier memory overclocking.
For users who need storage away from their main system, the Predator GP30 external SSD adds portable storage with USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 connectivity, targeting PC, console, and media workflows.
BIWIN says the renewed agreement will also support its plans to expand the product roadmap with newer PCIe and DDR technologies as the partnership continues.
