CelcomDigi has launched the next phase of CD:NXT, its talent development initiative aimed at bridging the gap between university classrooms and actual industry work. The expanded programme was officiated by the Director General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Datuk Prof Dr. Azlinda Azman, and it’s built around three main pillars.
The standout piece here is campus@celcomdigi, and it weaves real industry experience into coursework starting fairly early on, second-year students will work on actual business challenges as part of their studies, guided by ongoing mentorship from industry professionals.
Selected final-year students go even further, taking on residencies at CelcomDigi’s own headquarters, working alongside experienced teams on genuinely live projects as part of their final-year experience. The programme is launching with four university partners, Universiti Malaya, UiTM, UniKL, and HELP University, and they are aiming to reach more than 300 students annually through the residency track, with plans to bring in more universities over time.
Alongside campus@celcomdigi, the Young Talent Programme continues as a structured two-year leadership track for high-potential graduates, combining rotational assignments, mentorship, and hands-on work on strategic projects. Following its first successful cohort, YTP just welcomed its second batch of 20 young talents, who’ll be working across areas like Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data & Business Analytics, Digital Product Development, and AI & Automation.
Rounding out the portfolio is Certifications, which builds on CelcomDigi’s existing Metaversity platform to offer recognized accreditation in AI, extended reality, and other emerging tech, open to both students and working professionals looking to pick up new digital skills.
