M.2 SSDs are relatively new, albeit its first debut was several ears ago. With the current momentum on both desktops and laptops opting for M.2 SSDs for smaller form factors and sleeker rigs, everyone wants to be in the M.2 scene these days – and that’s where Transcend’s MTS series of SSDs comes in.
There’s 3 different models of the SSD, MTS400, MTS600, and the MTS 800. Each of them utilizes the SATA III bus, which has a max speed of 6Gb/s. The only prominent difference here is the size itself, as the MTS400 is the shortest and the MTS800 is the longest. Each of them can go up to 560MB/s read and 460MB/s write speed, except for the MTS600 where their website states it goes only up to 550MB/s reads and 46MB/s writes. Might be a typo there, but that 10MB/s is quite negligible at such speeds.
All these SSDs are available in different capacities, with the MTS800 available in 32GB~1TB capacities, two other Transcend’s MTS400 and MTS600 M.2 SSD models are also available in 32GB~512GB. All the MTS series are backed by Transcend’s Three-year Limited Warranty.
