Let’s start off with an unusual tangent – and that is how I received the parcel. All of Sudio’s products are shipped directly from Estonia via DHL. I received the item within a week after I clicked the button to confirm my payment. That’s crazy quick considering that it had flown to so many places to end up on my doorstep!

Starting off with the packaging. I received my Sudio Vasa Bla in their gift box.
On certain songs like Cameo Lover by Kimbra definitely starts off with a very punchy and tight bass. The vocals are also drowned in the lows. Highs however are decent. It didn’t reach the “sparkly” stage, but it’s decent.
Our usual go-to song, Adventure Time by Rouge, confirms that the Sudio Vasa Bla is indeed a bass-heavy pair of wireless earphones. The bass is extremely punchy, and I find myself bobby my head to EDM genre. It’s very enjoyable on EDMs. Marshmello’s hit song Alone is also very bass-heavy, and the Vasa Bla can definitely reproducing the bass in an enjoyable way.
Songs that focuses more on vocals like The Spine by Darren Korb and Ashley Barrett (part of the Transistor Original Soundtrack, which I absolutely love), sounds decent – but again, the vocals are quite drowned in the bass.
The overall sound signature is great. There’s no distortion and of course, given more emphasis on the bass. The vocals do get drowned in the lows quite a bit, whereas the highs are okay – it doesn’t sparkle or reach as high as other earphones can.
Battery life
Again, the most important question of all. Just how long does the battery last? In my test case, I had it fully charged the Sudio Vasa Bla and listened to music with it for one afternoon – that’s about 4 hours. It only drained about 50% of the battery, which is pretty good.
Only when it reached about 7 hours that the Vasa Bla starts running low on battery. It started beeping, indicating that it’s running low on battery – which is pretty good, since it does have a separate battery “box” on the pair of wireless earphone.
To charge the Sudio Vasa Bla, you’ll have to locate the “battery box” and open the flap there, and the microUSB port will be revealed.
Charging it from low battery to full took less than an hour, as the battery in these devices aren’t massive.

The Sudio Vasa Bla is again, very beautiful. The features that it has is pretty identical to the Beyerdynamic Byron BT that we have reviewed here, but the physical design, material, aesthetics, and its sound signature is vastly different.
Firstly, the Sudio Vasa Bla has a pretty aesthetic. It’s available in 4 different colors – white, blue, pink, or “rose gold” black. Both the white and pink versions will have black ear tips, whereas the blue and black ones will have black ear tips. Whichever color you choose though, will have a colour-matched leather pouch to go alongside with your Sudio Vasa Bla.
The sound quality isn’t flat – and it gives quite an emphasis on the bass. Many people will like this, as it’s definitely more enjoyable to listen to. It’s just more exciting to listen to, and the features that it has is very well-implemented.
I’m too sure about the two “box” design though, as separating the battery with the in-line controls definitely distributes the weight more equally, but it does get in the way when I moved quickly.
For RM398, I can recommend the Sudio Vasa Bla to those who want to seek a pair of wireless earphones with heavier bass. With its color choices, it’s a very interesting appeal that many people will be enticed with.
