Got yourself a Noctua cooler? Want to upgrade your rig to a Ryzen CPU? Fear not, as you can get Noctua AM4 mounting kit for FREE! The renowned air coolers makers that look industrial, and offers top-notch air cooling performance are taking steps to ensure its compatibility with AMD Ryzen CPUs.
They will send it to you and it’ll arrive really quick – no worries about that. Personally received quite a lot of deliveries from Noctua themselves, and they’re always – always – arriving earlier than what’s expected.
However, there’s a catch. If you’re using either the Noctua NH-U14S, NH-U12S or NH-U9S, you’ll have to get the NM-AM4-UxS mounting kit. If you’re using the other coolers manufactured since 2005 and except the NH-L9i/NH-L9a series low-profile coolers, you’ll need the NH-AM4 mounting kit. There are other Noctua coolers that can be made compatible with the new AM4 chipset but are not eligible to get the mounting kit for free.

Noctua has announced that their new NM-AM4L9aL9i mounting bracket for both the Noctua NH-L9a and NH-L9i cooler (hence the name, actually) to be offered for free for owners of AMD’s AM4 processors! All you have to do is upload your proof of purchase of an AM4 motherboard or AM4 CPU as well as a Noctua NH-L9a or NH-L9i. Send it to them via this site here and you’ll get it in about 1-4 weeks!

So how do you get your free Noctua AM4 mounting kit for free? You’ll need to provide the proof of purchase for both the Noctua CPU cooler and either an AM4 motherboard or a Ryzen CPU.Noctua is still unclear of the NH-L9a’s compatibility yet, as there are “some late changes on the AM4 platform”. We’ll keep you updated when we know more about this.

If you have to need the Noctua AM4 mounting kits urgently, you can get it even on online retailers like Amazon at a price of EUR 7.90 or USD $7.90. That’s about either RM35, or RM38. Yes, all 3 variants of the Noctua mounting kits have the same price.
If your Noctua cooler is ineligible for the free upgrade or you’re in a hurry to slap the NH-D15 on your Ryzen and overclock it till world’s end, you can get either the Noctua AM4 SecuFirm2 mounting kit from some of Noctua’s resellers too. But that’s up to your local distributor’s discretion.
