Car accessories and dash cam expert 70mai have revealed the latest creation today and it is the new Omni dash cam that ushers the era of smart electronics into your automobile.
As its name suggests, the Omni is an “omnidirectional” dash cam that can capture footage at a 360° angle thanks to the combination of a 340° swivel and 140° FOV achieving a “no blind spot” coverage. Native resolution is at 1080p with 60FPS support yet the output file can reach up to 2K thanks to internal upscaling technology.
Capacities-wise, there will be 3 variations of 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. As the flash chips are built-in with no support for external storage, be sure to get the higher tiers if you need to record more, provided you have enough budget for them.
The revolutionary hardware is paired with powerful AI algorithms that can accurately analyze the movements of targets that drastically reduces the rate of false alarm and records anything in a 1-minute timeframe in the case of truly suspicious activities.
On the other hand, it also has a collision detection algorithm that smartly scours for the angle of the incident to create valuable footage for claims. The built-in GPS support (4G Hardware Kit sold separately) and Find My Car feature can locate your vehicle no matter where it is and you can do it anytime, anywhere.
Some simple customization has also been included such as 10 MaiX emoji and 9 dynamic reactive emoji displayed on a small 1.2-inch screen while the LED glow ring makes up for some user feedback in the form of lights.
Availability
While we don’t know the exact price just yet, 70mai’s representative at least spoiled the range of it which is around RM700++ – a fitting price for something this powerful. The launch date for it is from February 27 to March 5, and again, exclusively on its official Lazada store.
