Last week Samsung Malaysia did a launch for their Samsung Galaxy Gear S2 at Sunway Pyramid. The smartwatch was announced earlier during IFA 2015 as the successor to the previous Galaxy Gear S. It comes with two variant, Classic and normal. The normal version uses its own proprietary watch band. If you want to change the band you’ll have to get the watch band at Samsung stores near you. It comes with two colour, Dark Grey and Silver. The Classic version uses 22mm normal watch band, interchangeable with any normal watch band in the market and only comes with black colour.
A new feature on the watch this time is its new rotating bezel as navigator and buttons to select. While you still have your touch screen, you could also rotate the bezel to navigate through your selection and select with the button. Like its earlier predecessor, it runs Tizen-based operating system featuring 1.2″ full circular Super AMOLED screen with 302 ppi covered with Gorilla Glass 3 and powered by dual-core 1GHz Samsung Exynos 3250 and 512MB RAM with 4GB of internal storage. It has the battery capacity of 250mAh and charged via NFC. The smartwatch is only 11.4mm thick.
