Raspberry Pi 3 Model B has officially been released locally. If you think Raspberry Pi 2 was powerful, the Raspberry Pi 3 has upgraded even more. The most exciting feature would be the built in WiFi board and BLE module. The new model will be powered by the latest Broadcom 2837 ARMv8 64-bit processor. This is certainly an ideal board to jump into the bandwagon of IoT.
Versus the Raspberry Pi 2, the Raspberry Pi 3 will have an increase in performance at around 50-60% compared.
The recommeneded adapter spec has increased to 5v 2.5mA.
Retail Price: RM RM 180.00 after tax and shipping.
Earlier models of the Raspberry Pi will still be produced due to demands from consumers that are working on projects requiring them to use the old model. Raspberry Pi organization says that they will still keep producing the earlier models until the demand for it fades out.
