Here comes Trascend’s other brand new SSD – the SSD220S for those who want an SSD but don’t want to get the craziest one in the market today. It still makes a huge difference for those who are using an HDD now by the way.
The SSD220S looks the same as any other SSDs, measuring at 6.8mm thick and only 58 grams in weight. It can perform up to 550MB/s read and 450MB/s write sequentially, and 330MB/s for 4K random read/writes, thanks to its DDR3 DRAM cache.
Oh yes – for those who’re using old desktop cases, a 3.5-inch bracket is included too. Or maybe you just want to clone your entire hard disk to your SSD220S, which Transcend even includes their own SSD Scope software to help with system cloning, firmware updates, and status monitoring.
The SSD220S is now available for RM299 for 240GB, and RM569 for 480GB. Real good prices for that capacity, actually.
