Here comes the brand new ROG Gladius II! ASUS’s latest iteration of this gaming mouse brings quite a lot of improvements over the first one, and here are the things you need to know.

The Gladius gaming mouse is definitely my favourite mouse in the market today, as I’m personally using one for almost two years now. You can check out the review of it right here. While that mouse isn’t perfect, the ROG Gladius II aims to enhance the user experience by including more buttons, and obviously there will be RGB lights too.

The brand new ROG Gladius II still has all the exclusive features from the original  ROG Gladius – a highly ergonomic design, Omron switches, DPI switch, separated button design, detachable cable and a carrying pouch. What’s new is the RGB lighting system and a brand new DPI target button which is placed around the thumb resting area.

Another thing that I noticed is that the new ROG Gladius II can have its Omron switches swapped out easily.  Unlike the original ROG Gladius, the new one doesn’t require the anti-friction pads to be mutilated before accessing the screws to disassemble the body and swap the switch. That is my biggest complaint on the original ROG Gladius, and I’m glad that ASUS fixed it in this iteration of the Gladius series.

Here’s also a very handy comparison table between the original ROG Gladius and the ROG Gladius II.
