With NVIDIA’s recent announcement of the GTX 1080 Ti, Zotac got to work and obviously already have something up their sleeve. It’s now officially in Malaysia too. Zotac is bringing two variants of the GTX 1080 Ti – the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition and also the AMP Extreme Edition. Here are the full details for the GPUs.
Let’s get started with the AMP edition first. The Zotac GeForce 1080 Ti AMP Edition has a base clock of 1569MHz with a boost clock of 1683MHz, and it has 16+2 power phases. The memory speed remains at 11Gb/s It’s already faster than the Founder’s Edition card – but that doesn’t stop you from overclocking it even further. Keep in mind that since it has a higher number of power phases, it can achieve even higher clock speeds.
As for the Zotac GeForce 1080 Ti AMP Extreme Edition, Zotac took things even further, as it has a base clock of 1645MHz and a boost clock of 1759MHz. It also has a higher memory speed, running at 11.2Gb/s. 😮 The AMP Extreme edition retains the 16+2 power phases, so you can still overclock more.
What about the prices? This part of the event showed us what we need to know already.
Now, you need to know one thing. The Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme Edition takes up over 2 PCI slots due to its beefy IceStorm cooler. I mean, seriously – the heatsink on this card is humongous, and there are 3 fans cooling the humongous heatsink that spans the entire length of the card. There’s also Zotac’s metallic ExoArmor backplate for this card, obviously.
Again, these two cards will be available in the market next week. Are you getting one for yourself?
Let us know down in the comments below!
I personally am curious on how much more it can be overclocked with the IceStorm cooler.
