Power supplies aren’t something that will get refreshed and renewed often, since if it works then we pretty much won’t bother much – unless aesthetics come into play. The Cooler Master MWE series of power supplies are created to cater for those who need low-priced power supplies to get the job done, but with uncompromised performance and efficiency.
Introducing the Cooler Master MWE series of PSU. It has 80 PLUS certification for 230V, Active Power Factor Correction design, and 85% efficiency during typical load too. Cooler Master is even offering the MWE series from in a total of 3 different power ratings – 400W, 450W, and 500W.
By the images provided by Cooler Master, I can tell that the MWE Series PSU are pretty minimalist in terms of design. It still has the typical shape and form of a PSU, but that sticker is seriously minimalistic. Also, there’s an on/off button for those who care.
However, I must highlight that by looking at the Cooler Master MWE images, it seems like only the 24-pin ATX cable is sleeved, leaving all the others cables unsleeved. Of course, you can get a sleeving kit in the future and sleeve it yourself if you desire.
Here are the prices for the Cooler Master MWE series PSU, and they’re already available in Malaysia as far as I can find out. They’re seriously affordable too. Given that PC hardware these days are getting more and more efficient and needs less power, choosing the MWE series of power supplies seems like a fantastic choice.
