In this point of time, we’re mostly focusing on the negatives that are going on with life. What happened to the positives and the good things? That’s why we’re focusing on this positive note here today. It’s from Samsung Malaysia Electronics, and they’re giving hope to those in the PINTAR foundation. How? By donating a Galaxy Tab A for every RM500 that we spend.
The whole mechanism behind this motion is simple. From 19th to 23rd August 2017, purchases of RM500 and above on Samsung products within the Samsung Official Store on Lazada (link here) will contribute to a pool where Samsung Malaysia Electronics will donate Samsung Tab A tablets to 50 deserving “Tokoh Sukan 2017” winners from 50 selected under-served schools under the Pintar Foundation School program.
Tokoh Sukan 2017, organized by schools in Malaysia under of the Ministry of Education, is an award to recognize students’ achievements in co-curricular activities, particularly in sports. The criterion of a Tokoh Sukan 2017 is based on the students’ highest achievements for the year – be it at school, district, state, national or international level. With the impending 29th SEA Games (Kuala Lumpur 2017), Samsung Malaysia Electronics is partnering with Lazada to launch Lazada’s Mega Sports Day Expo to encourage more students to become active in sports.
Simple enough, right? Sure, for us it is that simple. Early exposure to technology is always a better thing as children can learn more about the internet before fully diving into the infinite depths of the web. Heading down there without any prior experience of how the internet works is a little overwhelming.
For underprivileged students of today, they do not have this chance. It’s saddening nonetheless, and it’s always good to see a company trying to do something to help out. A little seed of hope can grow into something much larger and initiate a change in the butterfly effect cycle.
