ASUS ROG just announced a brand new addition to their series of mechanical keyboard – the ROG Strix Flare. It seems like ROG is focusing on RGB lightings for any of their products with the moniker “Strix” attached to it. The ROG Strix Flare does offer an interesting aesthetic.
The brand new ROG Strix Flare is using Cherry MX RGB key switches – either in red, brown, blue, or black – and comes with RGB lighting – obviously. Sticking to the tradition of all ASUS products with RGB lighting, the ROG Strix Flare is also compatible and customizable with Aura Sync.
At the top right there is a little cutout that where a piece of “customizable illuminated badge” that can be inserted. There’s a ROG logo badge pre-installed already, but you can customize using paint or printed sticker. Perhaps take it up a notch with laser etching?
The ROG Strix Flare also has an interesting looking texture.
Other than that, there is a set of dedicated multimedia keys at the top row.
Last but not the least is the compatibility with ROG Armoury II, where you can create profiles, customize colors, lighting effects, remap keys, record macros, and track hardware stats during your gaming sessions. It’s similar like what you can do with the ROG Gladius.
As for the pricing and availability, the ROG Strix Flare is not available in the market yet, so we don’t know the price too. We’ll definitely update it here when we have more information about the Strix Flare.
