Google Glass is the most risky and potentially, a revolutionary piece of technology. A moonshot idea like Google Glass can potentially change the world by how people will interact with their environment and with each other  much like when cell phones was taking off during the early millennium.

Even before Google Glass hit the streets, many entities and individual expressed concerns about the use of Google Glass in ways that it will affect them rather than the user.

We all know that Google Glass is equipped with camera, microphone and a ‘Head-up display’ all packed into the Google Glass which you will wear it on your head giving the ability for the device to capture everything you see and hear. This is a privacy problem which even camera phones was attacked back then such as in Japan where they ban camera phones from entering a bookstore.

A bar in Seattle, US has already implemented the ban before the product is released. Vriginia bill has already on it’s way to ban wearing Google Glass while driving. “Stop The Cyborgs” site was launched specifically to criticize Google Glass and it’s invasion of privacy.

According to NBC News, via Dvice, casinos and movie theaters are planning to ban Google Glass soon.

“As the sale of [Google Glass] spreads, there’ll be more people using them and wanting to use them at places such as a gentlemen’s club. If we see those in the club, we would do the same thing that we do to people who bring cameras into the club.”

-Peter Feinstein of Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club in Las Vegas

This is expected however, new stuff will have it’s controversial side such as the Google Cars and artificial intelligence programmings; even the internet(SOPA etc.). Society are just afraid of big changes; on the contrary, fear invokes concern which can define new boundaries and laws which can protect the society itself.
