The Huawei Nova 4 was actually launched back at December of 2018, but only now it is launched in Malaysia. The Huawei Nova 4 comes with a few interesting highlights, and priced at RM1,899. Here is what you need to know about this phone.
Firstly, the Huawei Nova 4 comes with this Punch FullView display. That just means that the display of the Huawei Nova 4 comes with a circular cutout for the selfie camera – like the HONOR View20 that we tried.
However, instead of running on the latest chipset like the Mate 20 Pro or the upcoming HONOR View20, the Huawei Nova 4 only comes with the previous-generation Kirin 970 chipset. And, it is equipped with 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage too. To power the Huawei Nova 4, it comes with a 3,750mAh battery. It is also shipped with EMUI 9.0, which is Huawei’s latest iteration of their skin for Android.
The Huawei Nova Series has always been about the pursuit of beauty and is designed to cater to the younger crowd who are fond of participating in trendy lifestyles. Equipped with an improved photography experience and revolutionary AI technology, the Huawei Nova 4 embodies who our millennial consumes are.

Then comes the cameras. The Huawei Nova 4 features a total of 3 cameras at the back of the phone – a 20MP f/1.8 main camera, another 16MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. This is a similar configuration compared to the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), actually.
As for the front, the Huawei Nova 4 has a 25MP selfie camera that is situated under the cutout at the top left corner of the screen.
While on the subject of the screen, the Huawei Nova 4 comes with a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display – which is once again very similar to the HONOR View20 which also has a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display and a circular cutout for the selfie camera.
The new Huawei Nova 4 is available in two different colors only – Crush Blue and also the usual black. There is only one variant available – which is 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, and the price is RM1,899. For a phone with specs of yesteryear, I think it is too expensive.
The Huawei Nova 4 is only available starting 14th February 2019. Yes, you read that that right – that slightly less than a month from now.
