I’m not sure if this is a publicity stunt or just an oopsie from their behalf, but there is a video claiming to be the full movie, is available on YouTube now. It is obviously, not the full movie.
First, there was a Twitter account that tweeted the link claiming to be the full movie. Then Ryan Reynolds, the voice actor for Pikachu in the movie, retweeted it.
Reynold’s intentions was to bring more attention to both the official movie Twitter account and also Warner Brothers, but surely, he has a lot of followers on his own Twitter as well. Hence, it got retweeted thousands of times.
However, the video itself isn’t what it seems to be.
Obviously, this video is a troll. It has the watermark R. Reynolds at the top left corner, and it is a video of Pikachu dancing to some 80’s workout music in a loop.
I ain’t even mad. It’s adorable to see Pikachu in his (?) tiny, furry body. Unlike Sonic The Abomination, this is actually pleasant to look at and to see him dance for an hour and a half is actually quite pleasant.
Then, even the official twitter changed their name to Detective Leakachu. What a troll!
