How long has it been since SEGA got its console out in the world? The last ever console that was released by SEGA was the Dreamcast, that was back during the late 1998. That’s more than a decade – 15 years to be precise.

Now, this leaked image shows that SEGA logo at the bottom. Certainly familiar to all SEGA game fans, particularly Sonic the Hedgehog, that game never gets old. Right in the middle there’s this CMYK diamond colour scheme – cyan, magenta, yellow and key (black), representing the colour spectrum, as suggested by the name Spectrum (Captain Obvious!). Then there’s the date which is the 12th of June 2013, written in Japanese.

That date is when E3 2013 is happening. SEGA cause quite a commotion with this leaked image. Maybe it will pose a direct threat to Nintendo’s Wii U, since the partially-cut text above translates to “A new world of entertainment”.

Hey, think about it – this might be a new Steam-like software for cross-platform game distribution, a new console or an entirely different thing that will change the world, maybe just some new Sonic games on a different controller. Let’s just wait and stay tuned until 12th June 2013!
