Mircosoft will finally lauch their tablet computer, Surface Pro in Japan with a new option of 256GB model with Windows 8 Pro and Office 2013 bundled.  This new model will be launch in Japan on 7th June.

According to the Microsoft Japan’s official spec sheet, a 256GB  variant that features up to 208GB of usable storage. As for the 128GB variant, there’s only 89GB of usable storage. The point is, both variants take up a hefty sum of storage space is for the OS and built-in applications.

According to CNET, the 128GB Surface Pro will be selling for 99800 yen ($975 US dollar, approximately RM3,000) and the 256GB surface Pro for 119800 yen ($1171 US dollar, approximately RM3,600).

A 256GB option will not just give us an advantage on having more space of saving more songs, videos, files etc. but also give Microsoft another way to compete with other device like iPad, Samsung Galaxy tablets and other Android devices which consumers may also consider. With that, I believe consumers have a lot to think about when this new model launches all over the world.
