Three students of Multimedia University (MMU) just won the F-Secure National Inter-Varsity IT Security Competition as team “Little Pwnies”, pwning team “CIA Triad” from Universiti Sains Malaysia in the final round. This competition is held as an initiative between F-Secure and Malaysia’s Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) in a quest to develop local IT security geniuses.
The competition started last month with 200 participants from 28 universities from around Malaysia. Chief judge was Chief Research Officer of F-Secure Corporation together with computer security expert, Mikka Hyppönen.
The “Little Pwnies” each won a powerful laptop worth RM 5000 and made their(and mine as well) university proud! 😀
