During Apple’s slew of lawsuit towards Samsung about its infringements, Google acquired Motorola. Nobody knows why exactly, some says is because of Motorola’s patents, yet others say something else.

All we know though, is that Motorola has been leaking images after images of unreleased Android phones – but now, Motorola’s CEO, Dennis Woodside, came out to D11 at All Things D and confirmed that the company is working on a new flagship phone – the Moto X.

The Moto X is said to have an OLED screen, and claimed that “we know when it’s in your pocket, we know when it’s in your hand, it’s going to know when you want to take a picture and fire up the cameras. It’ll know when you’re in the car, for instance, and promote different interactions”

It is also said explicitly that the phone is manufactured in the United States, specifically in Texas, which the factory was previously used to manufacture Nokia phones. In their press release issued recently, Motorola touted that the Moto X is the first smartphone to be assembled in the USA.

In the past, we’ve already covered a list of Moto X rumours and leaked images (here, here, here and here), it sounds like Motorola will have a pretty grand unveiling when the time comes. Looks like the summer’s hot news is already kicking in!
