Japan is always on the lead in terms of automation and advanced technology. Speed and time is critical in their world, so their latest achievement is the successful test of their new Maglev L0. It will be the fastest train ever built on the planet when it is in operation on 2027.
The train will be reaching 500 KM/H travelling between Tokyo and Nagoya which can cut the typical 4.5 hour drive to only 40 minutes! The current fastest train in operation right now can make that trip in 90 minutes! They can cut another 50 minutes off like magic!
What’s even more amazing is that this train will be able to carry at least 1000 passenger at a time! However, this latest test was only a low-speed test to properly observe the clearance between the train and magnetic tracks. Expect more and more tests before 2027. We’ll keep you updated!
