Let’s skip the introduction this time. We all know about the Samsung Galaxy Camera – the compact camera that runs Android , even supports LTE. The downfall of the device is the lack of phone calling ability.
Here you have the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, which basically is just a Galaxy S4 under the Galaxy Camera concept. TechTastic here got some real pictures of it and also what the Galaxy Camera will have :
- Dual-core 1.6GHz processor
- 4.3-inch Super AMOLED with 960×540 pixels
- 8GB of internal memory (microSD supported)
- 16MP rear-facing camera
- Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
- Samsung TouchWiz
A 16MP camera! Though you have to understand, pixel count doesn’t linearly translate to picture quality, Then again, I’ll have to reconsider the phone’s design – its ergonomics to hold the phone in portrait mode might be a little problematic after all.
Here are the photos taken by TechTastic. Pretty huge and thick for a phone, I’d say. Also, it looks like it has a pancake lens too. And ooooooooooh, dedicated camera button! It seems like there are two camera buttons? One for the left hand and another for the right hand. Well that is referring to the images below and above.
Also, this makes the 3rd spinoff from the original Galaxy S4 model, first being the Galaxy S4 Mini, then the Galaxy S4 Active, now the Galaxy S4 Zoom. What else is missing? I think the Galaxy S4 Player for their iPod rivalry?
