I’ll admit – I thought there’s a typo in the name of the smartphone. But no – this is the Samsung Galaxy A01. This is an entry-level smartphone by Samsung, and it is only priced at RM449.
Let’s just start off with the list of specs first. The Samsung Galaxy A01 comes packed with:
- 5.7-inch PLS TFT display with 720p resolution
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 439
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage (expandable via microSD)
- Dual rear-facing cameras
- 13MP f/2.2
- Depth sensor
- 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera
- 3,000mAh battery
- Android 10 with Samsung One UI 2.0
I can’t believe Samsung still managed to pack in the One UI 2.0 into an entry-level smartphone. We’re not sure what features are retained on the Galaxy A01, but we do know the One UI’s night mode (not to be confused with the camera’s night mode) is present, so that we can get a good night’s rest. Face unlock is also retained.
Also, this entry-level smartphone uses the Infinity-V display, as there is a waterdrop notch.
This Galaxy A01 is even cheaper than the realme C3 which we’ve reviewed recently. Admittedly, there are a lot of differences between those two phones.
The Samsung Galaxy A01 is available in a total of 3 different colors – blue, black, and red. Once again, the price is only at RM449.
