You see that thumb there? That’s the new Camera shortcut in the quick settings panel, a.k.a. the two-finger-swipe notification. It brings an entirely new perspective of quick photo-taking.
To get it to work, you will first have to tap the Camera icon on the quick settings panel to activate the viewfinder. The purpose behind this is to save your battery, so that the viewfinder isn’t active all the time. Since the viewfinder is shown at the small little box, this feature is made to have a tap-to-take-photo simplicity with continuous autofocus, given that your device supports it. As it is a new smartphone, a picture is taken at any instant when the shutter is triggered. When you’re done spamming photos, just close the notification bar.
This is just the beginning of what this feature can do. Imagine that when this feature has the ability to quickly zoom in to the full-sized camera app to pose for a picture, that would kill all the hassle to launch the camera. That way you won’t have to find where is the camera app each time when you want to take a photo!
Here’s a video of it in action! I’m still hoping for all of my custom ROMs have this feature too!
