Edifier has announced the latest TWS earbuds with the Edifier Hecate GM4 that boast a dual-mode set up to help users leverage their gaming or music experience without compromise. The IPX5 rated peripheral is available at RM199 on Edifier’s Lazada and Shopee online store.
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, Hecate is Edifier’s gaming-centric sub-brand. It focuses on gaming, which is quite different from what other Edifier stands for.
The unique Dual Mode of the earbuds can be toggled with a single press through the touch interface. In Gaming Mode, the device is said to capture elements such as enemy footsteps more accurately by applying a custom EQ and presumably some sort of virtual surround sound system.
Meanwhile, in Hi-Fi Mode, the 5.8mm micro-motion coil driver is tuned by Edifier’s senior
acoustic engineer to operate within a range of 20Hz to 20KHz response frequency which is pretty decent for a TWS in this price range. Furthermore, it also comes with CVC8 noise reduction technology to reduce ambient noise during calls so that your recipients can actually hear what you said.
