Whenever we travel to some unfamiliar places, we automatically become so dependent on GPS and always checking on the navigation system so that we didn’t get into wrong direction – which is very dangerous if we take our eyes off the road even for a second, well at least at the wrong fraction of a second.
But do not worry any more, Garmin introduced the first portable Heads-up Display (HUD) that projects navigation information on your windshield which pairs with your smartphone running Garmin StreetPilot or Navigon GPS software via Bluetooth. The simple interface that displays your current speed and the speed limit, turn arrows, the distance until your next turn and an ETA.
Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of worldwide sales say:
Head-up displays currently have their place in select high-end cars, but HUD makes this technology available as an aftermarket accessory for any vehicle, at an affordable price.
HUD has an MSRP of $129.99(approximately RM400) and it is expected to be available this summer.

Amazing, isn’t it? You don’t have to leave your eyes off the road, just like what Google Glass enables us to do. Then again though, it might distract your driving albeit not forcing you to take your eyes off the road.
