A sprawling, satirical reimagining of modern Southern California, covering mountains and oceans, expensive stores and strip malls, urban decay and untouched wilderness, beaches and backwoods, the sublime and the ridiculous, greed and hypocrisy.
Rockstar Games had finally released the GTA V gameplay video that is just long enough to give us a good impression on the game but just too short to reveal all the important details. Although we didn’t see much of the gameplay, we did know the game’s characters.
For the first time in GTA, there will not just one hero but three which is also the three main protagonists – Michael, Trevor and Franklin. The exciting part of this is that we can change between them all throughout the game! Switching between them while in free-roam mode sees the camera pull out across the map and pick up on another character in the middle of another activity. In a quick-access dial on the bottom right of the screen, and we can see that each has their own stamina, strength, stealth, driving and flying stats, as well as lung capacity.
The game’s shooting and hunting mechanics are straight from Red Dead Redemption features which it is different than the previous GTA.

If all the features revealed in the Grand Theft Auto gameplay video are anything to go by, this video game has definitely earned the title of being video game of the year! There are some really amazing features that Rockstar has incorporated into this game, including the massive open world and mult-player transitioning. I can’t wait to see what Rockstar will pull out of the hat next, and especially now that they are yet to release more information about GTA V online.
