When it comes to entry-level smartphones, it’s usually sluggish and has an ugly screen, which is why it’s low in price. POCO M3 offers something completely different – it has much better performance and a nicer screen, but also at a low price too. Oh, let’s not forget about its unique design.
The POCO M3 also has a beautiful design that I think more brands should do. Like what we mentioned in our review, that plastic back with leather texture sure is nice to touch and offers a much-needed change compared to the usual smooth glass or plastic backs.
Also – there’s a unique cutout at the top of the phone. There is a POCO branding that’s printed on the cutout, too. I honestly do commend POCO for owning up to the fact that camera cutouts are getting larger – and they just make it big.
Within this cutout, we have a total of 3 cameras. There is a 48MP main camera, a macro camera, and another depth sensor. The main camera is where the magic happens as it can take some fantastic pictures too.
By the way, I just want to take this moment to appreciate and mention that the POCO M3 is also available in the iconic POCO Yellow too. It just looks so beautiful.

The POCO M3 is also noticeably thicker than most phones out there, but with a good reason. Its 6,000mAh battery is just massive and lasts two days with ease.
If you ever do need some battery in a pinch you can get it up to 0% to 50% battery life in about 50 minutes thanks to the fast charging capability. Remember – the POCO M3 has a massive 6,000mAh battery. Getting it to 50% battery charge means that it can last you throughout one day.
And since it’s so thick, there’s also a physical fingerprint scanner on the right side that doubles as a power button. Personally, I like this type of fingerprint scanner as compared to the under-display fingerprint scanners.
One thing that POCO did well for the M3 is by packing in a 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen that has a magnificent FHD+ resolution – which is at 2340×1080 pixels. I want to highlight this because none of the competitors at this price range is able to pack in a FHD+ screen.
