Google finally announce their latest two-inch device that runs a simplified version of Chrome OS — Chromecast!!! This device was apparently leaked ahead of its release a few days ago.
Chromecast is like a little flash-drive shaped device that we need to plug it in into our TV’s HDMI port and requires separate USB power. Then, by connecting it to our home Wi-Fi, we’re ready to wirelessly transfer what we’re watching on our computer, phone, or tablet on the TV!
Well it’s not just limited to Android and Chrome OS and Android devices – but all operating systems. For more easy understanding, if the application we’re using on the phone or other device supports Chromecast, then it function well with it. This means it will work with iPad, iPhone and Mac as well! Cross platform baby!
The apps that work with the device included a “Cast” button that allows users to push video to their televisions and control various aspects remotely. All the supported application for now includes Youtube, Netflix, Google Play Movies, TV, and Music.
Here are video for Chromecast:
Chromecast is now available through Google Play for $35(approximately RM105) and it will start shipping by 2nd August. With Chromecast, we can now easily share everything to a larger screen and enjoy it together either with family or friends. Isn’t it great??? I would like to have one too!!! The price is amazingly low too!
