Lets face it,
Upon graduating from a university, looking for a job will be the priority numero uno for most of us graduates. For those fortunate enough, grabbing a job before you actually step out of your campus for the final is a dream come true (fingers crossed). For those that are not, making a resume and and trying to remember the list of things that will make you stand out from the rest of your counterparts will seem like a never ending nightmare. Props to those that can actually do remember what club or university activity they have participated in.
Not that any of the above has anything to do with one Alexander J. Velicky.
Apparently he took the road less taken and instead of spending his time going for a designing school, he spent his on making one of the most impressive mods ever seen on a PC game.
Falskaar, being the mod name was made through sweat and tears and has been turning some heads in the Skyrim community. This awesome mod basically does the following:
- Adds another 25 hours of gameplay,
- New dungeons
- New quests
- New ideas
Velicky was so committed in trying to make the mod as polished as possible, that he spend an entire year of his time just to ensure it gets as close to perfection as possible. His main motivation? To work for the same company that made the game that his mod was intended for itself Bathesda Studios. If that is not an impressive time spent on work than I myself, then I do not what is.
Velicky also had help along the way, ranging from voice actors towards people chipping in their ideas for his fictional world his mod was based on. Here’s a word of inspiration from the sole developer himself,
The best way to show Bethesda Game Studios that I want a job there and should be hired is to create content that meets the standards of their incredible development team.
To add icing on the cake, here’s a trailer for Falskaar. Now if only everybody can make a resume like this.
